Become a key player in the Office of the CAO as a Coordinator of Communications and Engagement in Fort McMurray. This role supports public strategies and municipal activities, ensuring clear communication and engagement.
The Coordinator, Communications and Engagement works full-time under general supervision. This position focuses on planning, implementing, and evaluating communication strategies, alongside assisting in public events and internal correspondence. Key skills required include excellent customer service, solid organizational abilities, and proven event planning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and evaluating engagement activities
• Support content creation across various formats
• Coordinate logistics for municipal events and activities
• Maintain and update online communication platforms
• Provide customer service and respond to inquiries
Requirements:
• Diploma or certificate in Communications or related field
• Two to three years’ experience in communications or event planning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Valid Class 5 Operator's Licence
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel
