In this pivotal role, you will support the Enterprise Risk Management function at Wawanesa by reviewing and challenging models for compliance with OSFI guidelines. Your experience in quantitative modeling and validation is essential for assessing risk severity and governance controls across various models. This position allows you to work autonomously while contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the Model Risk Management Framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Validate models across the full lifecycle aligned with regulatory standards
• Review model soundness, including performance and limitations
• Provide risk challenges for AI and machine learning models
• Manage updates to model inventory and validation summaries
• Promote best practices in model governance and monitoring
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines
• Minimum six years’ experience in model validation
• Proficiency in Python and SQL programming
• Hands-on experience with AI and predictive models
• Solid communication skills for technical concepts
