They will also be accountable for the safe, on time operations of all trains and contribute to the overall execution of the LSOP and Operating Plan.

All candidates will deliver effective movement of traffic within the road territory and yard-terminal by developing, organising, and executing the daily yard-terminal and road operating plan in a safe and cost effective manner. It maximises fluidity and achieves Local Service Operating Plan (LSOP) and Operating Plan compliance on a daily basis.

Candidates will be responsible for the inputs and outputs of safety, service,



productivity, financial metrics and adherence to corporate values, which includes compliance with the regulatory environment.

They will also identify and act on opportunities to increase yard/road fluidity and productivity.

Applicants will create and manage a strong team of employees including determination of optimal numbers, recruitment and development.

Job requirement

Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED.

They also must have previous railway experience.

They are also required to have previous operations related experience that would be considered an asset.

Work setting

Candidates must have the ability to accept change.

All candidates are willing to be available as required on a 7×24 basis.

They also must have the ability to drill down, understand the root cause and resolve complex issues.

They also must maintain certifications and licences (i.e. Engineer Certification)
