Join the City of Niagara Falls as a Junior Woodworking Technician, promoting woodworking skills in a secure environment. This part-time temporary role focuses on supervision, assistance, and training within the workshop.
In this position, you will support the Woodworking Technician, ensuring a welcoming space for participants eager to learn woodworking. You’ll also assist in supervising tool use and helping maintain inventory for workshops and programming. Your contribution toward creating engaging workshops tailored to various skill levels will be essential to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in maintaining studio safety and security
• Help with inventory checks and ordering supplies
• Provide safety training for new Woodworking Studio users
• Collaborate on workshop programs for diverse age groups
• Cover for the Woodworking Technician as required
Requirements:
• Education in woodworking or carpentry field
• Three years’ hands-on woodworking experience
• First Aid, CPR, level C, and defibrillation certifications
• Capability to manage tools and machinery independently
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
