In this role on the AJISS Coastal Support team, you will be responsible for writing specifications and Statements of Work for the Royal Canadian Navy's Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels. You'll work closely with ship personnel and OEMs to resolve technical issues while ensuring compliance with industry standards. A solid technical background in marine electrical systems and solid communication abilities are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write Work Instructions and SOWs to address vessel defects
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to identify and resolve issues
• Conduct on-site investigations to gather technical data
• Partner with engineering to suggest documentation improvements
• Oversee maintenance providers on vessel repair activities
Requirements:
• Completed a 2-year electrical technical diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in the marine/offshore field
• Solid knowledge of marine electrical systems operation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
