The Opportunity

Northern Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Urgent Primary Care Clinic (UPCC) team in Quesnel. This flexible position offers the prospect to provide urgent primary care to patients of all ages in a supportive, team-based environment. The NP will work alongside patient care assistants and other health professionals to address same-day health concerns and bridge gaps in access to care. This role does not involve patient panel attachment, allowing the NP to focus on episodic care and urgent needs. The clinic uses Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for documentation and care coordination.

Key Responsibilities
Provide urgent primary care to patients of all ages presenting with same-day health concerns.
Collaborate with patient care assistants and other team members to ensure timely, effective care.
Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR)s (C‑MOIS) for documentation and clinical workflows.
Participate in team-based care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.




Support continuity of care through appropriate referrals and follow-up planning.

Qualifications & Skills
Eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a Nurse Practitioner.
Strong background in primary care and urgent care settings.
Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
