Join Glacier Raft Company as a Seasonal Raft Guide and transform the way guests experience the Kicking Horse River. This role emphasizes safety, guest service, and outdoor adventures within a team-focused environment.
In this position, you'll guide thrilling rafting trips for diverse participants while providing critical safety instructions. Your ability to manage river equipment, perform maintenance checks, and assist with trip logistics will contribute to a successful guiding operation from May through September.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide rafting experiences in varying weather conditions
• Provide effective safety briefings and paddling instructions
• Rig and de-rig rafts efficiently for each trip
• Conduct gear maintenance and safety checks regularly
• Maintain detailed records of each rafting trip
Requirements:
• Valid 50-hour first aid certification required (80-hour preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience on Class III or higher rivers
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically capable of outdoor work in diverse environments
• Must be adaptable with work hours, including holidays
