Join AeroVect as an Autonomous Safety Engineer, where you will lead critical safety analyses and develop requirements for next-gen ground handling technologies. This position is pivotal in ensuring secure operations in autonomous vehicle environments.
As part of AeroVect's high-velocity team, you'll report to the Head of Safety while executing essential safety lifecycle tasks. You will work extensively on risk assessments and collaborate across different domains of engineering to integrate safety requirements. Your expertise will be vital to the development of safety case artifacts needed for commercial deployments in airports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct hazard analysis and risk assessments for autonomous systems
• Derive technical safety requirements for supervised and unsupervised autonomy
• Collaborate across multiple engineering teams to verify safety
• Build safety case support documentation for commercial operations
• Perform hardware safety analyses and evaluate component reliability
Requirements:
• 5+ years in safety engineering within autonomous tech
• Proficiency in ISO 26262, DO-178C, or IEC 61508 protocols
• Hands-on experience in failure rate modeling and safety analysis
• B.S. or M.S. degree in a relevant field
• Expertise in hardware safety metrics and diagnostic strategies
