Make a difference in Guelph as a Seasonal Winter Control Operator, focused on protected roadway and sidewalk conditions during winter storms. This role requires flexibility with hours and snow removal expertise.

This temporary role lasts from November 2026 to mid-April 2027. Collaborating closely with the Public Works team, you will operate various winter control equipment and participate in compliance with all safety standards. Experience in snow clearing, salting, and teamwork is vital in this position to uphold community safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate sidewalk plows and snow blowers
• Perform manual snow clearing and salting duties
• Report mechanical issues and hazardous conditions
• Generate daily logs and document work variances
• Work collaboratively in a team setting

Requirements:
• Grade 12 education minimum
• 1 year relevant winter control experience
• Valid Class G license; Class DZ an asset
• Capable of physical labor and communication
• Knowledge of safety regulations concerning public works
