Help create protected spaces for women and children at Kelowna Women’s Shelter as a Frontline Support Worker. Engage in crisis intervention and provide essential advocacy services.

This position focuses on ensuring the safety and comfort of women and children fleeing domestic abuse. You’ll evaluate their needs, develop action plans, and coordinate community resources. Emphasizing a supportive environment, the role also involves training staff and maintaining case records.

Key Responsibilities:
• Answer phone inquiries and document support calls
• Conduct intake assessments and develop safety plans
• Monitor facility security and resident comfort
• Provide emotional support and resource information
• Participate in meetings and training sessions

Requirements:
• Diploma in a related field with one year of experience
• Must possess Intermediate First Aid certification
• Criminal Records Check for working with vulnerable individuals
• Required membership in the union
