Strathcona Resources Ltd. is seeking an Experienced Closure Technician to support decommissioning projects in Calgary, Alberta. Bring your expertise in compliance and project management to enhance our closure programs.
In this role, you'll coordinate well abandonment activities while ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate reporting. As a Closure Technician, you are responsible for managing the inactive well inventory program, facilitating the acquisition of necessary agreements, and validating project tracking data across corporate systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute well abandonments and reclamation
• Manage corporate well inventory and inspection cycles
• Collaborate with land brokers to progress activities
• Conduct well file reviews and develop regulatory strategies
• Oversee AFE development and ensure financial accountability
Requirements:
• Experience in closure and decommissioning in oil & gas
• Solid skills with WellView and other software tools
• Knowledge of regulatory practices in Western Canada
• Familiarity with environmental management principles
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
