Reportingto the Maintenance Supervisor at the Discovery Kidd Metallurgical Site in Timmins, ON, the primary duties of this job is to performmaintenance, repairs, installation and commissioning of various electroniccontrol systems. This may include, but is not limited to, the following:
System administration of the site FoxboroDCS system
Maintenance of electronic control systems
Responsible for product support andservices required to commission and troubleshoot problems during installationand after project completion
Installing and testing instrumentationdevices
Hardware and software maintenance,monitoring and reporting
In office preventive maintenance such assystem back up and restore, software patches, hardware cleaning and visualinspection with recommendations and reports

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must:
Have a minimum 2-year diploma as anInstrumentation Technician with 3 year’s experience in an industrial setting(preferably a milling workplace)
Strong knowledge of controls systems suchas PLC’s ( Modicon ) andDCS (Foxboro)
Complete or have recently completed CAATand DAT testing in a satisfactory manner.




Preference will be given to applicantswho have dual tickets in electrical and instrumentation.
Must be fluent in English - written and spoken
