Join Diabetes Canada as a Senior Governance Specialist, guiding vital governance functions for both Diabetes Canada and National Diabetes Trust. This position involves collaborating with the Board to promote effective decision-making.
Reporting to the President & CEO, you’ll assist in overseeing board activities, ensuring legal compliance, and managing risk assessments. Your role as a governance advisor is instrumental in shaping policy frameworks that align with best practices. You'll play a key role in fostering an inclusive workplace and supporting organizational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the development of Board meeting materials
• Maintain an up-to-date governance policy inventory
• Support organizational compliance with governance standards
• Administer Board document execution
• Coordinate annual General Meetings
Requirements:
• 3–5 years’ experience in governance roles
• Degree in Business Administration, Law, or related
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Commitment to Diabetes Canada's mission and values
