Be a pivotal part of road maintenance as a Lead Hand with Webber in Ottawa. This role encompasses maintaining transportation assets through proactive seasonal tasks.

Under the guidance of the Area Supervisor, the Lead Hand will ensure the quality of maintenance tasks on roadways, signage, and related infrastructure. This position demands experience in outdoor maintenance with a focus on safety, communication, and operational excellence. Your leadership will ensure the team’s effectiveness during all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize equipment for snow and ice removal in winter
• Repair and maintain road surfaces, signage, and guardrails
• Implement traffic control plans and ensure their compliance




• Provide transportation for crew and tools to work sites
• Lead daily toolbox talks and document job analyses

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory
• Holding a G Class License with a solid driving history
• A minimum of three years of related outdoor experience
• Training in traffic control and safety regulations preferred
• Solid knowledge in computer applications including Excel
