In this role, you will assess residents to create individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting independence. Responsibilities include documenting in Point Click Care, recommending mobility aids, and providing crucial staff training on therapeutic practices. Your role will extend to engaging family members to foster understanding regarding therapy needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform assessments and craft tailored treatment plans
• Record interventions in Point Click Care efficiently
• Assess and provide necessary mobility aids and adaptive equipment
• Guide staff training on lift and transfer best practices
• Evaluate and develop cognitive and fine motor group programs
Requirements:
• Degree in Occupational Therapy; registered in Ontario
• ADP Authorizer status preferred, eligible candidates considered
• 2+ years of experience in geriatric or long term care
• Robust organizational and communication skills
• Membership in occupational therapy associations is an asset
