The Canadian Armed Forces (Gunners) are responsible for surveillance, target acquisition, and indirect fire to engage adversaries. Gunners operate artillery systems including howitzers, radars, acoustic systems, and UAS, and maintain related vehicles and fire-control equipment.
They work with Armoured, Infantry and Combat Engineers and other support arms across diverse environments. Initial duties include training at BMQ and DP1, with postings to one of five artillery regiments.
