MAKING AN IMPACT
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Governance and Analytics, the Data Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining analytics solutions, reports, and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Leverage SQL, scripting, and modern analytics platforms to extract, transform, and analyze complex datasets, delivering actionable insights and recommendations that align with business goals

Partner with business and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, and well-governed analytics solutions

Support a culture of data-driven decision-making by applying automation, engineering best practices, and modern design patterns to improve how data is analyzed, visualized, and utilized across the organization

What You’ll Be Doing

Analytics & Reporting Development

Report & Dashboard Development

Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Salesforce CRM Analytics, Salesforce Reporting, and Power BI to support organization teams

Build and optimize semantic models and datasets to support business reporting and analytics needs

Optimize reporting and dashboard assets for usability, performance and accessibility

Analytics & Insights

Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities across business functions

Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for business teams

Use predictive models and statistical analyses to support donor segmentation, campaign targeting, and fundraising forecasting

Leverage advanced analytics techniques including propensity scoring, trend analysis, and cohort modeling to inform business strategy

Collaboration & Engagement

Partner with cross-functional teams including business partners, data engineers, and digital teams

Provide guidance and support to business users on reporting and analytics tools

Data Development & Transformation

Data Preparation & Processing

Data Preparation & Processing

Extract, transform, and prepare analytical datasets using SQL, Python and scripting languages

Build and maintain reporting datasets, dataflows, and curated data assets incorporating key metrics and business data

Utilize enterprise data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric) as supporting data sources where required

Data Modeling & Documentation

Contribute to the design and optimization of data models that support reporting and analytics platforms





Develop and maintain documentation for datasets, data definitions, and analytical processes

Operational Excellence

Automation

Automation

Automate repetitive reporting, data preparation, and analytics workflows using Python and scripting

DevOps

Utilize version control practices for analytics assets, reports, and code

Contribute to CI/CD processes for analytics solution deployment using Azure DevOps

Quality

Develop and maintain automated testing for reports, datasets, and analytics solutions

Support monitoring and validation of analytics pipelines and reporting processes

Apply development best practices including code quality, documentation, and peer review

Apply data governance, compliance, and data quality standards when developing analytics solutions

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting outputs

Adhere to data privacy, security and compliance requirements (PII, PHI etc.)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related discipline

More than 3 years, up to and including 5 years - similar or related general experience in progressively more significant positions

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and analytical dataset development

Proficiency in Python and/or scripting languages for data analysis and automation

Experience designing and developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Salesforce Reporting, Salesforce CRM Analytics and Power BI

Experience building and optimizing semantic models and analytical datasets

Experience working with Fabric to build and manage data pipelines, dataflows, automated workflows, and analytics solutions.

Understanding of data modeling concepts and relational database design

Experience with DevOps practices including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks

Experience automating reporting, data preparation, and analytics workflows

Knowledge of Agile development practices including code quality, testing, documentation, and peer review

Experience developing and maintaining automated testing for analytics solutions and reports

Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, scalable analytics solutions

Strong exploratory data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from large and complex datasets

Experience with predictive modeling,



statistical analysis, or data-driven segmentation techniques

Communication Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to present complex data findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience collaborating across business functions to support data-driven decision-making

Bilingualism (French/English) is highly preferred , with French being an asset due to the organization’s nationwide operations and the need for effective communication across various regions
