In this pivotal role, you will work directly with clients, ensuring high-quality accounting services while overseeing payroll and government remittances. You’ll engage in the month-end close activities and provide mentorship to junior team members. The ability to resolve discrepancies and manage multiple accounting tasks will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer bookkeeping tasks for diverse client portfolios
• Prepare and manage T4s, T5s, and payroll filings
• Train junior team members in bookkeeping practices
• Execute month-end and quarter-end closing processes
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding their needs
Requirements:
• Accounting diploma or similar certification is a plus
• Three years of bookkeeping experience required
• Experience with QBO or Xero preferred
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop and Sage 50
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
