As part of the team, your responsibilities will include inspecting roof membranes and clearing drainage systems to ensure operational roofs. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and Trades Supervisor, you will handle various preventive maintenance tasks on school facilities, including gymnastic equipment and structural modifications. A focus on accuracy in recording project details for costing is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect roofs and report on conditions
• Remove debris and maintain clear drainage channels
• Repair roofing elements and perform maintenance tasks
• Keep detailed accounts for computerized costing
• Use Aerial Work Platforms or forklifts when required
Requirements:
• Must hold a Red Seal Ticket as Roofer or Carpenter
• Valid BC class 5 driver’s license required
• Relevant experience in carpentry or roofing
• Proven ability to work independently
• Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
