Join the North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services team as a Child Welfare Investigation Worker in New Liskeard, a full time contract role focusing on child protection and assessments.
This 18-month position involves providing a spectrum of children’s services. You will engage in preventative measures, conduct risk assessments, and develop protection plans while completing necessary documentation. Flexibility in hours and travel may be required, along with communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide preventative and child protection services to families
• Conduct thorough risk assessments for children in need
• Develop and implement child protection plans
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Work flexible hours and travel as needed
Requirements:
• MSW or BSW preferred; diploma candidates considered
• Experience with children, youth, and families is advantageous
• Ability to interpret legislative requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid G2 driver’s license required; G Class preferred
