In this vital position, you will assess, treat, and provide consultations for elderly clients facing complex mental health challenges. You'll extend your influence by working with various agencies and facilitating access to community resources, while also partaking in the education of caregivers and families about mental health issues affecting older adults. Your role ensures high-quality care through documented practices and effective crisis interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Screen and assess referrals for elderly clients
• Facilitate treatment planning and psychosocial interventions
• Monitor client situations and provide necessary follow-ups
• Collaborate with community agencies for client access
• Prepare clinical documentation and reports
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in a relevant health discipline
• Minimum one year experience in geriatric mental health
• Eligible for qualified registration in BC
• Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle
• Strong interpersonal and clinical skills
