What is the opportunity? You will be a valued member of finance transformation team, acting as a business partner and advisor, across financial accounting, performance management and planning and forecasting activities. You'll lead improvements to how we account for and report on insurance products, working with Finance, IT, and Actuarial teams to streamline operations and unlock financial optimization opportunities. This role is based in Mississauga with flexibility for other Greater Toronto Area locations.
What will you do? As a member of a dynamic multi-functional finance transformation team, you will have the following responsibilities:
Lead transformation initiatives – Drive business requirements, testing, and change management across Finance, Actuarial, IT, and vendor teams while managing risks and timelines
Drive reporting strategy – Enhance how we measure, report, and disclose insurance product performance and financial results
Optimize processes – Simplify workflows, reduce manual work, and implement automation with cross-functional teams
Ensure controls and compliance – Support governance frameworks and prepare audit-ready documentation
What do you need to succeed? Must have
4-6+ years in finance transformation, or finance/actuarial reporting, or financial systems implementation, within the insurance industry
Strong project management skills with experience in large scale programs/initiatives.
Strong cross-functional collaborator with excellent communication skills, able to present complex technical topics to finance and IT leaders.
A professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, etc.) or actuarial designation (FSA, FCIA, etc.), or completion of a Master's or PhD in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or Finance.
Nice to have
Knowledge of IFRS and experience developing & defining technical IFRS 17 measurement models , accounting requirements and/or implementing downstream reporting.
Practical experience with GL/Subledger/Accounting Hub, CSM calculators, policy administration systems and finance data warehouses.
