This position involves working with families, specifically those with young children, focusing on their unique needs and cultural backgrounds. You'll implement trauma-informed practices and leverage evidence-based resources to enhance parenting skills. Collaborating closely with Public Health Nurses will ensure that families receive comprehensive support in their development journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct family-centered home visits to strengthen relationships
• Implement solutions focusing on cultural and individual family needs
• Facilitate access to community resources and support networks
• Utilize curriculum-based resources effectively during interactions
• Work cohesively within a multidisciplinary team workplace
Requirements:
• At least one year of relevant experience with young families
• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Community Support Worker Certification preferred
• Proven initiative and effective organizational skills
• Required Class 5 driver's license and insured vehicle
