Contribute to sustainable resource management at 'Namgis First Nation in Alert Bay, BC as a full-time Forestry and Lands Stewardship Technician. Experience outdoor work, community education, and diverse field activities.

This role, reporting to the Director of Natural Resources, involves managing essential tasks related to forestry, fisheries, and community relations. As a technician, you will engage in data collection, physical and biological assessments, and secure equipment operation, all while fostering positive community interactions. Knowledge of 'Namgis culture will enhance your contributions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in data recording and activity reporting
• Conduct marine and land surveys as needed




• Support and train new staff members
• Ensure equipment maintenance meets safety standards
• Facilitate community engagement and education efforts

Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 8 education
• Class 5 BC Driver's Licence required
• Certifications in SVOP and Marine Emergency Duties
• Basic First Aid and Swiftwater Rescue qualifications
• Proficient in MS Office and communication
