Our client, a leading manufacturing company has an opening for an apprentice Millwright -to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Assist of troubleshooting, observing, and performing diagnosis of mechanical equipment failures and making necessary corrective actions and/or recommendations
Dismantling and assembling of various machine parts in order to perform repairs using hand and power tools
Analyzing machine errors and work with operators to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues
Repairing broken or defective machine parts, as required, with the use of welding and/or brazing tools
Using specialized tools, such as micrometers and plumb bobs, to calibrate and align equipment
Reviewing and following highly technical and complex machinery manuals
Consistently adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
All other duties as many be assigned
Qualifications:
Registered apprenticeship
Good familiarity with different types of manufacturing equipment, including milling machines, lathes, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Strong hand-eye coordination and flexibility using tools
Superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Operating with a sense of urgency and consistently delivering results.
Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Self-directed with a commitment to achieving objectives in a time-sensitive environment
Capable of safely lifting up to 60lbs
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to simplify complex problems, conduct thorough analyses, and provide explicit recommendations.
