Join Universal Group as a Lane Closure Expert and implement effective traffic control. This role involves outdoor work, guiding teams, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations across various sites.

We are looking for a dedicated Traffic Control Technician to oversee secure traffic management at locations throughout the Interior. You will be responsible for establishing traffic zones, giving directions, and modifying traffic plans as necessary. Safety is paramount, and you will participate in compliance measures and health and safety meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct traffic control persons to set up safety measures
• Monitor work zones and adapt traffic controls as needed
• Relay precise traffic signals to ensure public safety




• Address hazards through thorough risk assessments
• Maintain communication with site supervisors regarding safety

Requirements:
• At least 6 months of traffic control experience
• Valid TCP certification recognized by WorkSafeBC
• Current driver’s license with a clean history
• Smartphone capability with an active data plan
• In-depth knowledge of traffic management guidelines
