This role is about empowering individuals through Supported Independent Living (SIL). As a Direct Support Professional, you will work one-on-one with adults facing various challenges, offering mentorship and encouragement. Training is provided to help you facilitate personal growth and community engagement for those you support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Offer direct, personalized support to individuals with disabilities
• Act as a mentor and coach to encourage client development
• Help individuals navigate challenges related to mental health and poverty




• Provide emotional support and advocacy during community activities
• Complete all necessary training provided by Karis Disability Services

Requirements:
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check required
• Access to reliable transportation for job duties
• Previous experience (3-6 months) in similar roles is preferred
• Education in Developmental Services or Youth Work is valued
• Commitment to diversity and accessibility in service delivery
