The Sociology Department is seeking two dedicated Teaching Demonstrators for the SOC 1000 course. This role focuses on fostering learning through instructional support, grading, and attending to student needs. Responsibilities include participating in planning, preparing instructional materials, and offering feedback on student assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend planning and coordination meetings
• Assist during course lectures and sessions
• Prepare educational materials such as tests and handouts
• Mark student assignments and projects
• Maintain regular consultation hours for student inquiries
Requirements:
• Relevant academic background in Sociology
• Ability to empathize with students' instructional needs
• Effective English language skills
• Must be a full time student at the University of Manitoba
• Valid study permit required for international applicants
Contribute to the academic success of students as a Teaching Demonstrator in the SOC 1000 course.
