As a Lead Hand, you will directly oversee recycling staff, manage the operation of machinery, and enforce safety protocols across shifts. You’ll also be responsible for training new sorters and ensuring adequate staff coverage to meet operational needs, all while continuously communicating with management regarding material flow and staff issues.

Key Responsibilities:
• Directly engage in sorting duties to ensure efficiency
• Operate recycling machinery safely and effectively
• Maintain strict adherence to quality assurance guidelines




• Serve as a primary communication link with management
• Oversee daily operations and report issues as needed

Requirements:
• Education: High school diploma required; post-secondary preferred
• Desired: Leadership experience in supervisory roles
• Industry experience in recycling operations
• Forklift certification a must; willing to obtain is acceptable
• Transparent communicator capable of lifting heavy loads
