This role in the Mechanical & Industrial Engineering department supports student-led projects and requires a deep understanding of machining practices. You will conduct safety training sessions and be responsible for maintaining equipment and inventory, while also providing consultation on fabrication techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and modify custom scientific apparatus
• Create technical drawings for various fabrication tasks
• Set-up workshops according to project needs
• Maintain workshop safety standards and equipment
• Assist students with mechanical design inquiries
Requirements:
• College Diploma or relevant experience
• At least 8 years experience in machining
• SolidWorks expertise with 2+ years required
• CNC machine operation experience is essential
• Robust mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
