Elevate community engagement and fundraising at the Marine Institute as a Development and Engagement Officer. Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance alumni and donor activities.
Reporting to the Deputy Provost, the successful candidate will drive development initiatives and foster relationships with a broad range of community partners. With a solid background in development roles, you will lead programs that engage alumni and cultivate potential donors. This position also involves planning donor relations activities and may require national and international travel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate fundraising and donor engagement activities
• Develop robust connections with alumni and industry partners
• Draft donor correspondence, agreements, and proposals
• Oversee alumni social media and database updates
• Work with the stewardship team to enhance donor relationships
Requirements:
• 5-7 years in development or business development
• Advanced degree in business or related field preferred
• Excellent persuasive communication skills
• Knowledge of marine technology sectors beneficial
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
