This role involves reporting to the Director of Development Services while overseeing a team of planning professionals. Responsibilities include managing land use planning processes, directing planning projects to align with the Official Community Plan, and liaising with developers. Applicants must possess a deep understanding of real estate development and municipal laws.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct the work of the planning staff
• Manage planning projects aligned with official policies
• Process and prepare necessary planning applications




• Advise stakeholders on planning regulations
• Act as the Deputy Approving Officer as required

Requirements:
• Degree in planning with eight years of experience
• Familiarity with planning principles and statutes
• Robust interpersonal and leadership skills
• Current Canadian Institute of Planners membership eligibility
• Hold a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license
