We are looking for an experienced Mechanic to join GFL's Fleet Maintenance division. This position requires a hands-on approach to repairing and maintaining various vehicle types. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills and contribute to a safe working workplace, making a difference in daily operations and functionality of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine maintenance on Hydrovac and highway trucks
• Repair mechanical systems including engines and brakes
• Ensure safety compliance with GFL policies
• Test repaired equipment for reliability and performance
• Maintain organized documentation for all repairs
Requirements:
• Journeyman certificate for Truck and Transport or Heavy Equipment
• Knowledge of SGI Motor Vehicle Inspection Program is beneficial
• Class 5 Drivers License with clean abstract; 1A or 3A preferred
• Strong mechanical skills on diverse equipment
• Ability to work overtime as necessary
