Lead the solid waste initiatives at the City of Delta as the Solid Waste Manager, a full-time temporary role for 12-16 months. Oversee waste collection, recycling, and sustainability programs, ensuring efficient operations.

As the Solid Waste Manager, you will guide the City’s solid waste programs with a focus on planning, delivery, and continuous service improvement. Your role involves strategic planning, environmental stewardship, and budget administration. You’ll drive automation initiatives and enhance program performance while engaging with the public and managing contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee planning and administration of solid waste services
• Lead strategic initiatives for waste diversion and collection




• Ensure compliance with regulations and service delivery
• Manage contract administration and procurement processes
• Support staff with operational guidance and expertise

Requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Sciences, Management, or Engineering
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in municipal government
• Robust leadership and communication skills
• Expertise in financial planning and project delivery
• Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships
