As a Lab Patient Technician, you'll operate across various locations in Cambridge and Guelph. Your expertise in phlebotomy and ECG will be essential as you greet patients, explain testing processes, and ensure accurate documentation of test requisitions. Key Responsibilities:
• Greet patients and request necessary information
• Conduct phlebotomies and connect/disconnect holter monitors
• Handle special collection tests and document appropriately
• Provide client support and respond to inquiries
• Prepare and package specimens for testing
Requirements:
• Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program preferred
• Experience in phlebotomy is an advantage
• ECG training or background is beneficial
• Good typing skills with a minimum of 40 wpm
• Solid empathy and adaptability in patient interactions
