One of our clients is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations within a fast-paced industrial manufacturing setting. This role is responsible for leading a skilled maintenance team, improving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting a solid culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coordinate, and assign daily maintenance activities.
Supervise and support a skilled maintenance team through coaching, training, and performance development.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify and prevent recurring equipment failures.
Coordinate maintenance work orders, schedules, parts, and outside contractors.
Work closely with Production, Maintenance Planning, and other departments to minimize production interruptions.
Monitor equipment downtime and implement actions to improve operational performance.
Promote workplace safety, 5S,
and compliance with applicable health and safety requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and development of maintenance procedures.
Ensure effective shift handoffs and maintenance coverage across plant operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Industrial Trade Certification - Millwright ticket is required
10+ years of progressive experience in food & beverage manufacturing is required.
3+ years of experience in a Lead Hand or Maintenance Supervisor role.
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
Education
Post-secondary education or a diploma/degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is an asset.
