Join Collins Aerospace as a Process Technician focusing on electroless nickel plating for critical aircraft components. This onsite position in Oakville, Canada operates during weekend nights from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.
You will work under the supervision of the Plating & Processing Supervisor to ensure the exacting standards of electroless nickel plating are met. Your role includes preparation of parts and maintenance of tanks and associated tooling. Knowledge of process chemistry is essential, as is your ability to contribute to lean initiatives and collaborate with fellow team members to enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute electroless nickel plating and component preparation
• Manage part fixturing and masking processes
• Load and unload plating tanks as scheduled
• Participate in process improvement and lean initiatives
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
• High school diploma with 1-3 years' experience in process chemistry
• Plating experience preferred
• Proficiency with measuring tools required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Robust understanding of WHMIS regulations
