As a Skilled Carpenter, you will handle construction projects focused on municipal maintenance and repairs. Your expertise in cabinet making and adherence to safety standards will be fundamental.

This multidisciplinary role involves performing a range of carpentry tasks within the municipal environment, often with minimal supervision. You'll be responsible for reviewing blueprints, estimating necessary materials, and implementing construction techniques. Additional duties include mentoring staff and communicating effectively with city managers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Frame wooden structures and install concrete bases
• Review blueprints and prepare work estimates
• Design digital drawings for construction




• Coordinate with subcontractors while ensuring public safety
• Complete daily timesheets and work records

Requirements:
• Red Seal Endorsement in Carpentry Trade
• Five years of journeyman experience or equivalent
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License for BC
• Strong skills in using carpentry tools and materials
• Knowledge of protected working practices and building codes
