Promote student well-being as a Youth Care Worker at Abbotsford School District. This pivotal role supports the emotional and social development of students in need.

In this position, you'll work with the Principal and school counselors to implement supportive activities tailored for individual student needs. Your day-to-day tasks involve assessing behavior, intervening during crises, and guiding students and families towards community resources. The position requires engagement both during and outside of school hours, focusing on the student's growth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and manage Individual Education Plans collaboratively
• Respond to and manage crises in school settings
• Engage in detailed behavior assessments and data collection




• Conduct small group sessions teaching coping and social skills
• Document interventions and monitor student progress

Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 and relevant 2-year diploma
• At least 2 years of experience with at-risk youth
• Certification in Crisis Prevention and Intervention
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office

Support at-risk students in their educational journey by providing essential care and guidance in Abbotsford.
