Nova Scotia Health is seeking a part-time Addiction Medicine Physician in Current Glasgow. Focus on opioid recovery in an interdisciplinary setting with flexible scheduling and comprehensive support.

This 0.2 FTE role offers an opportunity to provide evidence-informed addiction medicine care at the New Glasgow Recovery Support Centre. You will manage outpatient treatments, including Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT), and build relationships with patients for better engagement and recovery. Your skills will contribute to high-quality care alongside a passionate team of healthcare professionals dedicated to mental health and addictions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and manage outpatient addiction medicine patients
• Deliver evidence-based pharmacologic treatment for substance use




• Engage actively in patient-centered care and treatment planning
• Work alongside community partners to ensure follow-ups
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:
• Valid medical license with CPSNS or eligibility for licensure
• Certification eligibility with CFPC or Royal College
• Experience in Addiction Medicine preferred
• Maintain CMPA membership
• Understand trauma-informed care principles
