Support operations at ENGIE’s Cape Scott Wind Farm as a Wind Technician I. You’ll perform maintenance and repairs on wind turbines while being on call for emergencies.
In this hands-on role, you'll join the team at Cape Scott Wind Farm, located near Port Hardy, BC. Your tasks will include troubleshooting, performing repairs, and ensuring equipment is in top shape. You'll also follow strict safety protocols and participate in site orientations to uphold ENGIE's standards as you work on renewables daily.
Key Responsibilities:
• Fill out permits and job safety plans
• Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
• Climb wind turbines for inspections
• Operate hand tools and electrical testing equipment
• Maintain accurate parts and tooling inventory
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of wind or related operational experience
• Knowledge of AC/DC voltage and electrical theory
• Certification in Global Wind Organization training
• Ability to work on call and extended hours
