Serve as a Volunteer Team Lead with Victim Services of Simcoe County. Utilize your crisis management expertise to guide volunteers and support those affected by crime.

In this role, you will coordinate crisis responses and mentor volunteers, ensuring timely emotional support for individuals in distress. Your responsibility involves deploying volunteers during calls, promoting a compassionate and trauma-informed response approach. Work alongside dedicated professionals to strengthen community support and care initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage rotational on-call crisis support activities
• Evaluate service requests and mobilize volunteers
• Mentor fellow volunteers in crisis situations
• Participate in training sessions and debriefings
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to VSSC policies

Requirements:
• One monthly 12 or 24-hour shift commitment
• Must be on-call one weekend per month
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Check required
• Driver’s license and reliable transport necessary
• Basic competency with email and scheduling software

Your involvement will enhance the safety and well-being of those needing help in challenging circumstances.
