We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Technologist to join our client's engineering group, renowned for its role in exploration and mine engineering. In this 4-month contract role, you will employ your extensive knowledge to review technical work packages, lead complex 3D layouts, and oversee junior staff. Your leadership will be essential in developing comprehensive construction packages while adhering to stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design of complex piping systems and equipment layouts
• Review and guide preparation of construction work packages
• Develop smart P&IDs; and maintain design quality
• Integrate 3D point cloud data for adjustments and clash detection
• Ensure compliance with CAD standards and safety regulations
Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design in mining
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD Plant 3D, CloudWorx, and Navisworks
• Solid leadership and collaborative engineering interaction
• Familiarity with Canadian piping codes and design standards
• Professional Technologist designation preferred
