Ciena is looking for a System Integration Intern to support optical networking validations. Engage in a hands-on learning experience focused on system behavior and design intent.

This internship offers a valuable prospect over an 8-month or 12-month term. You will assist in the integration of optical systems, conduct testing with Python, and troubleshoot issues under the guidance of experienced architects. Gain insights into lab testing while developing your technical skills in optical networking.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct system-level tests using Python scripts
• Provision optical systems in a lab setting
• Troubleshoot and resolve testing issues
• Analyze system behavior with System Architects
• Validate functionalities with relevant test equipment

Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a degree in relevant engineering fields
• Familiarity with Linux from academic experience
• Basic knowledge of Python for automation use
• Experience in lab-based environments is advantageous
• Understanding of optical networking concepts is preferred
