In your role as Arborist I, you will lead a dedicated team in caring for City-owned trees in Mississauga. Your responsibilities include overseeing arboricultural practices, managing daily crew operations, and promoting safety measures. With a focus on public education and community engagement, you'll make an impact on urban sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead daily operations for the forestry crew
• Ensure proper use of equipment and safety adherence
• Address resident concerns and promote forestry best practices




• Monitor and maintain records of work completed
• Provide on-call support during storm management

Requirements:
• ISA Certified Arborist or certification within six months
• Minimum three years of experience in the field
• At least one year leading arborist crews
• Robust knowledge of arboriculture and safety regulations
• Must be able to lift and operate heavy equipment
