Empower families with McMan Calgary & Area as a Family Support Worker. This 12-month contract entails providing in-home support through goal planning, counselling, advocacy, and referrals.
In this role, you will conduct essential home visits and provide vital support to families with complex needs. McMan is seeking a candidate who excels in crisis management and can work independently within the community. Your experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds and at-risk families will be crucial to making a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct home visits and provide in-home support
• Assist families with goal planning and supportive counselling
• Offer advocacy and referrals to necessary services
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation and use assessment tools
• Provide on-call support during evenings and weekends
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in Social Work or related field
• Minimum three years working directly with families
• Knowledge of child development and parenting practices
• Experience with mental health and domestic violence issues
• Current First Aid and background checks
