Under the guidance of the Manager of Indigenous Health, you will implement comprehensive nursing care for Indigenous clients across various healthcare needs. Your responsibilities involve assessments, case management, and consultation with multidisciplinary teams to promote independence and self-care among clients. Expect travel to remote communities as part of your commitment to healthcare access.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and manage health care for Indigenous clients
• Implement culturally protected health and wellness programs
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
• Write comprehensive reports on patient care
• Facilitate referrals and health education for clients
Requirements:
• Current RN/RPN registration with BC College of Nurses
• Valid BC Driver's License required for travel
• Two years of experience in Indigenous community services
• Understanding of Indigenous health challenges and services
• Knowledge of community health resources available
