The Lead Hand at GFL is essential in managing shop productivity and safety for heavy vehicles. This position combines leadership with hands-on maintenance work, focusing on system diagnostics and the effective mentoring of apprentices. You will drive safety practices while ensuring compliance and quality work standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage afternoon shift tasks and workflow coordination
• Conduct complex repairs and maintenance for heavy equipment
• Diagnose issues using advanced software and diagnostics tools




• Provide mentorship and promote protected practices to apprentices
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regular inspections

Requirements:
• Must hold a valid 310T Truck and Coach License
• Required to have own tools for maintenance tasks
• At least 5 years of heavy-duty maintenance experience
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities
• Expert knowledge in commercial vehicle systems
