Enhance the lives of residents at Fairview Lodge in Whitby, Ontario as a Recreation Programmer. Lead the planning and delivery of engaging recreational programs that prioritize diversity and inclusion.

In this role with the Region of Durham, you'll be responsible for crafting programs that resonate with our residents' unique preferences and backgrounds. Collaborate with community partners to incorporate meaningful activities into our care plans, promoting holistic wellness through integrated recreational opportunities. Weekend and evening availability will be necessary to fulfill programming needs and support various community engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and facilitate personalized recreation activities
• Collaborate with community groups for inclusive programming




• Support holistic wellness through diverse activities
• Participate in resident assessments and program evaluations
• Assist in organizing special events and celebrations

Requirements:
• Degree in Recreation & Leisure Services or related area
• Current Food Handler's course completion
• Preferred experience in Long-Term Care settings
• Robust communication skills aimed at resident engagement
• Physical ability for program facilitation and setup
