Shape the future of literacy instruction at Rocky Mountain School District as a K-4 Literacy Helping/Mentor Teacher. This full-time position focuses on coaching and collaborative skilled learning.
Starting September 8, 2026, to June 30, 2027, you will be instrumental in enhancing student achievement through inclusive and culturally responsive practices. You will work closely with staff and contribute to the K-12 Literacy Supports Initiative while implementing evidence-based strategies aligned with the BC Curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support district literacy goals and initiatives
• Mentor Teachers through co-planning and co-teaching
• Design professional learning opportunities in literacy
• Analyze student data to inform instruction
• Foster strong collaborative relationships across the district
Requirements:
• Deep knowledge of literacy instruction methods
• Familiarity with assessment practices
• Experience in coaching adult educators
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Commitment to inclusive educational practices
